Carolyn Spears is a multimedia visual artist using experimental processes to examine ephemerality. Carolyn’s work pairs glaciological research with the emotional human body to contend with grief, time, and positionality in one’s environment. Her work is influenced by material poetics and phenomena of the natural world.

Carolyn has exhibited throughout the United States, including Manifest Gallery (Cincinnati, OH), Foci Minnesota Center for Glass Arts (Minneapolis, MN) and the Delaware Contemporary (Wilmington, DE). Carolyn holds a BFA in glass from the University of Louisville, and recently graduated with a Master’s of Fine Art degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
